This outstanding 11 piece outfit
portrays The Blues Brothers concept to perfection in 2 x 60 min
explosive sets. The group has enjoyed a great reputation since
appearing at the Victoria Club managers convention where they wowed
patrons who are in the industry. Jake is portrayed by Paul McVica
and Elwood by Andrew Roberts plus a 3 piece brass section and 2
female vocalists as the 'Soul Sisters' and some of the finest
musicians in Australia.

The Last 4 Bars is a
Groovy Quintet consisting of some of Ballarat's most acclaimed
musicians. Featuring popular vocalist Dani Fry - Vocals, Ian (Toff)
Riethoff - Double Bass, Damien Woods - Keys, Bryn Hill - Trombone
and Alistair Lethlean - Drums. Starting out as a Jass Quintet
playing a selection of well-known Jazz standards, Last 4 Bars added
to their repertoire and segued into revamping songs made famous in
the 1960's. Artist such as Nancy Sinatra, Connie Francis, Lulu and
Aretha Franklin all get a mention. So if it's sitting back
listening to some sweet sounds of Jazz or getting your beehive out
on the dance floor, then the Last 4 Bars is for you.

Matheson are a bunch of
local lads. Ballarat born-and-bred. And you can hear it in their
music, too - mix of rock and folk, with tales of the countryside
thrown in. Following on from their last record, These Are My
Horses, the band are busy recording their new work. You'll be able

Sweet Mona's Choir is
a renowned gospel and world music ensemble. The choir combines
great rhythm and extraordinary singing with some of the liveliest
and original arrangements in Australia. The majority of the
choir's repertoire is Gospel, but they also perform traditionals,
folk and world songs from across the globe- including Africa,
Brazil, Persia, Georgia and indigenous Australia. 25-30 singers,
from a broad range of backgrounds, gender and ages, create
spine-tingling harmonies. The choir generally performs accapella
with some percussion and occasional guitar accompaniment . The
sound ranges from a rich, deep resonance to a lively, energetic
tone, to haunting melodies that stay with you long after the
performance is over.

With a big Latin sound
you won't be able to resist getting up and boppin' along! Los
Locos is driven by the soulful percussion of Stella Savy, and
features the trumpet playing of well known local musician Jeff
Raglus, rounded out by the rhythm guitar and vocals of the leader
of Los Locos, Michael Martinez, the rich and reverberating notes of
Tim Fullerton's double bass, with Wayne Parker on electric
guitar.
Los Locos gigs are always a treat. The band has a solid following
of very friendly and dance-worthy fans. These factors combine to
make it, one of the region's best kept secrets. Los Locos
ROCKS!
Los locos have carved out their own sound that could be described
as 'Urban Latin'.

There is definitely nothing 'standard' about the Ballarat High
School Intermediate Concert Band who will have you breaking into
song as they perform their own musical arrangements from such
greats as ABBA, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, Cold Play and Pink.

Brother
Popcorn move the floor with a unique funk mix, weaving infectious
brass lines and thumping grooves with soulful improvisation.
Brother Popcorn study the masters of the funk genre and create
their own arrangements based on a selection of deep funk 45's and
rare grooves from the late 60's to early 70's.
Brother Popcorn have had a very busy two years with the release of
their debut EP, INTRODUCING and are constantly performing
throughout Victoria.
