Less hassles means more fun! To keep everyone smiling throughout the weekend you can park your car at Victoria Park (access via Gillies Street) and the FREE shuttle bus will whisk you to the Festival site (and the kids will love the ride!). Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from Victoria Park to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens from 9:30am to 5:30pm daily.

Visitors can take advantage of our FREE shuttle service from the Wendouree Train Station to the Festival. Buses will meet each train service arriving from and departing to Melbourne, between 10am to 5pm during the weekend.

Accessible Parking

Available at Victoria Park and a connection to the festival can be made via the accessible bus shuttle service.

Accessible ‘Drop Off’ Zone

On Saturday and Sunday only, an accessible drop off zone is located along Wendouree Parade at Nursery Drive (North Gardens). On Monday, the accessible drop off zone will move to Gillies Street due to the Begonia Parade.

The Ballarat Begonia Festival will provide free Vintage tram rides all weekend for your convenience and enjoyment. Travel the 1.3kms of the original track beside the Botanical Gardens on the west side of Lake Wendouree. Why not visit the Ballarat Tramways Museum as well?

The Gardens will be closed on the following dates to allow for the safe install and removal of the Begonia Festival infrastructure:

  • 8am Monday 5 March – 10am Saturday 10 March.
  • 5.30pm Monday 12 March – 5pm Wednesday 14 March.
