Festival Parking

Ample festival car parking is available at Victoria Park (access via Gillies Street).

Accessible parking is available at the Festival Car Park in Vic Park, as well as within the Permit Car Park in North Gardens (entry via Nursery Drive, off Wendouree Parade). An Accessible Drop-off point will also be available on Gillies Street for all three festival days.

Please note: the North Gardens Permit Car Park will not be available Monday morning during the Parade, due to road closures in Wendouree Parade.

Park n' Ride

A free Festival Shuttle Bus service is available. Festival Shuttle Buses will run on a continuous loop from the Festival Car Park at Victoria Park to the Begonia Festival and return throughout the weekend. This service will be available from 9.30am to 5.30pm daily. All buses are accessible.

Train n' Ride

Visitors can take advantage of a free Festival Shuttle Bus service from the Ballarat Railway Station to the Festival. Buses will meet select train services arriving from and departing to Melbourne daily.

The Festival Shuttle will meet the following services arriving from Melbourne: 9.40am – 11.40am – 1.40pm – 3.40pm. This shuttle will depart from Bay 9 of the VLine Coach Terminal.

The return shuttle departs from Gillies Street to meet the following services to Melbourne: 11.18am – 1.18pm – 3.18pm – 5.13pm. Shuttle will depart 30 mins prior to these departure times.

Bike n' Park

Do you love to ride? Why not ride to this year’s Begonia Festival. Bike parking available for up to 100 bicycles.

Bike racks will be located within the North Gardens Permit Car Park, entry via Nursery Drive off Wendouree Parade.

Parking your bike is at your own risk – remember to bring a bike lock.

Vintage Tram Rides

Free vintage tram rides all weekend for your convenience and enjoyment. Travel the 1.3kms of the original track beside the Botanical Gardens on the west side of Lake Wendouree.

2019 will see one very special tram as part of the festival – after 80 years the festival will see the return of a Floral Tram. Don’t miss this incredible piece of artwork, made from recycled plastics.

Coach Drop-off and Parking

A designated Coach Drop-off point will be located on Gillies Street for all three festival days – strictly no parking.

Coach parking is available within the Festival Car Park in Victoria Park, access via Gillies Street). Coaches will be met by car park attendants and guided to the designated parking area.
